After a short break from the spotlight, Jennifer Lawrence is back in a very big way.
The Oscar-winning actress lands on the cover of Vanity Fair’s holiday issue looking resplendent in a plunging Grecian-inspired red dress looking as ready as ever for the upcoming festive season.
Inside, the “Passengers” star sits down with the magazine to discuss her struggle with privacy, her superstar friends and her rumoured new love interest, Darren Aronofsky.
As she prepares for five promotional tours, the actress reflects on her need for privacy ahead of a busy new year. “You might think you know me, but when you approach me you’re a total stranger to me and I’m scared. I get very protective of my space. It took me a long time to be able to do that,” she tells Vanity Fair. “Privacy is a full-time job and I work very hard at it.”

Lawrence let her guard down recently when she was spotted locking lips with her “Mother” director Aronofsky, whom she describes as a “visionary”. The 26-year-old accepted his offer to star in his horror-invasion film without seeing the script and likely fell in love with the “Black Swan” helmer while filming together in Montreal.
Despite her hectic schedule, Lawrence remains thankful for the string of quality work. “I don’t like waking up with nothing to do or going to sleep without accomplishing anything,” she admits. “That really depresses me.”
Her desire to work is a quality she shares with BFF Emma Stone — a friendship that began with a daring text from the “La La Land” actress. “She texted me that she got my number from Woody [Harrelson]. I replied, ‘F**k off!’” she reveals. “And we’ve been really good friends ever since.”
“I love my job…I don’t know what I would be without acting. So, if there is someone who loves the same thing, it should bring us closer,” Lawrence continues. “But it depends on how that person is, and Emma is so normal and lovely. If I wasn’t her biggest fan, I would’ve Tonya Harding’d her in the kneecaps.” Passengers Watch Online Here.
